Christie was born on August 3, 1976 and passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019.

Christie (Pflughoeft) Pete, 42, of Watersmeet passed away on Jan. 4, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.  Christie was a resident of Watersmeet, Michigan at the time of passing.

She is survived by her children, Jacob, Marie, Emma, Isabel, Sophia and Olivia; her parents, Albert and Yvonne Pete, Sr .; siblings, Tracy (Dan) Pete, Jenny (Sonny) McGeshick, Albert Pete Jr., Angela (Shane Sr.) Pete and Marilee (Tyrone) Pete; 10 aunts and uncles; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christie always loved being around family and friends. She enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball, track, golfing, swimming, Yahtzee, cribbage, but most of all, she was a pool shark.

She is buried in the Old Indian Village Cemetery in Watersmeet.

Christie was my friend.  We met many years ago in the upper peninsula town of Watersmeet, Michigan.  She had a captivating smile, and always seemed very happy, with a ready laugh to lift the spirits of any of her friends who needed it.  She was full of hope and dreams, and she captured my heart with her kindness.  The years passed by and she eventually married, moved away, and had a family. 
We reconnected when she returned to Watersmeet a few short years ago.  She will be dearly missed.  I've only a few words at this time as her passing was a complete surprise to me.  At this time I'm still coping with the fact she is gone.
I still can't believe it.  I will always love you Christie.
